All limited companies must meet the statutory requirements of the Companies Act. However, we appreciate that ensuring that you remain compliant with company secretarial duties can be complex and time consuming for business owners.
Our dedicated Lancashire based company secretarial team can assist you with all matters. We will ensure that the required information is submitted to Companies House in the correct format, and in a timely manner.
Our company secretary services give you the peace of mind to concentrate on the other areas of running and growing your business.
Our company secretarial services include:
We use a specialist software package and file documents with Companies House electronically wherever possible. This allows us to make changes quicker than those made using postal/paper filing and is more secure when dealing with information of a confidential nature and is, of course, better for the environment.
In addition to the provision of company secretarial assistance for existing companies, if you are looking to form a new company we can also deal with this on your behalf.
There are strict rules for what names you can use for your company. The name can't be similar to that of another registered company or a trademark. The name can't be offensive and there is a list of restricted words that you may need to get permission to include within the name such as 'Britain' or 'British', 'Benevolent', 'Charity' etc.
There is a list of restricted words here: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/incorporation-and-names/annex-a-sensitive-words-and-expressions-or-words-that-could-imply-a-connection-with-government
A dormant company is still required to file annual accounts and a confirmation statement with Companies House.
If your company qualifies as dormant with Companies House and is also 'small' you can file dormant accounts.
